| Escapee from Vermont State Hospital found Wed, 25 Jun 2008 07:52:00 EST WATERBURY -- Vermont State Police say a 24-year-old man who escaped Tuesday morning from the Vermont State Hospital in Waterbury was located in Waterbury and returned to the hospital. Anthony Gotavaskas, a native of Montpelier and a recent inmate at the Southern State Correctional Facility in Springfield, escaped at about 10 a.m., police said. He reportedly climbed over a fence, crossed the Winooski River and was last seen running into the woods next to River Road in Duxbury. Police reported his recovery at about 10 p.m. Tuesday. |
